| Admission Requirements Somerset Hills RTC serves boys ages 7-14, who are educationally classified with Behavioral or Multiple Disabilities. Children with a wide range of severe emotional, psychiatric and behavioral difficulties may be accepted. However, children who are substance abusers, who have uncontrolled epilepsy, and those whose runaway behavior is habitual or a primary defense are not considered suitable for the program. |
| Referral Procedures A psychiatric evaluation, a psychological evaluation, social and medical history, and all academic records should be submitted with referrals. A one day preplacement visit is required, except for emergency placements. Referrals are accepted from Boards of Education, DYFS and C.M.O. Somerset Hills RTC is approved by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Youth and Family Services, and licensed by the New Jersey Department of Education.
